You were a great mum you knew how to survive and that’s the problem with the generations of today…everything is instant god help them if a big world depression comes they will learn quickly or die… you are a good mother. some kids are ungreatful not knowing that most parents give unconditional love to their kids without expecting anything in return! My husband Russell always had a big veg garden. Was great, we canned and froze enough veggies to get us thru the winter. Best days of my life. Reminds me so much of my mum growing veg etc in a small garden in a council house, she also was a great cook and baker, many a wedding cake she made and iced just for the price of the ingredients cos she not only loved to bake but knew how it was for young ones as she would say, starting out.miss her greatly. I was born in 1950 and times were hard, we didn’t have much but we never went hungry. There were seven kids and we all learned to survive on what we were giving. We always had an abundance of love. Thanks mom and dad for being our parents. sane I was one of 8 children, we never had that much but always managed alright, and there was food on the table!
