I’d place the training wheels of my bike on either side of it and then pedal, pedal, pedal! so the back wheel would spin in the water, just barely touching it. I could have watched that All. Day. I remember that my mother would say “Isn’t she ever going to ride around?” and my father would say “She’s enjoying herself, it doesn’t matter if she ever rides around”. LOL! Being accepted for who we are and the weird things that sooth us is key. You’re an amazing mother to this amazing kid. There is something so endearing and magical about Amos! You can’t help but to fall in love with him! I know I have, He is absolutely amazing. Thank you for reminding me to look for the spectacular in the mundane of every day life Amos helps to teach us that every person we meet is more than the part we see initially – there is a depth, wisdom and uniqueness of which the casual observer is unaware. It takes spending time, developing a relationship, sharing part of life together to know the “real” person – few of us are willing to invest that time and we are less than we could be for that reason. Thank you Amos for teaching us. My daughter also tried my grandson in soccer, not a great experience. She found an amazing karate instructor for him. Now he has his thing. Rocky Mount mom of 3 here – 1 with special needs – and letting go of the need for my nerd family to be athletic, popular, and perfect was soul changing. My son with autism may not play soccer, but he can tell you everything about cats. He may wear exclusively GREEN shirts, but his engineering skills are off the charts. And while he has only 1 non-familial friend, his 11-year old brain that processes science and math with lightening speed uses those skills to figure out ways to make life better for everyone he loves. And cats. I wish I had known when he was 5 how Autism was affecting him, but I do now and I wouldn’t change a thing I Love Math And Cats T Shirt I Love Math And Cats T Shirt Buy it now: I Love Math And Cats T Shirt Visit more product at:Pinterest Home page: Tagotee Store When I was little, maybe a little older than Amos, we had a little gutter on the side of the driveway where water would collect.
